What determines steelwork acceptance?
BCSA guidance explains the importance of specifications that reflect design requirements. Inspection must use the project’s specified criteria and inspection plan. A generic checklist cannot establish structural adequacy.

Can the checklist approve a changed connection?
No. Record the deviation and obtain the authorised design response.
Are bolt torques provided?
No. Use the specified connection system, installation procedure and project criteria.
How is concealed work handled?
Record it as not inspected and link prior evidence or the required further inspection. Do not infer a pass.
