To carry out digital snagging in SiteSurvey, you build a snagging form that includes fields for defect description, location (via GPS or floor plan pin), severity rating, responsible trade or contractor, and one or more photographs.
Surveyors walk the site and submit a form entry for each defect they find. Each submission is timestamped and attributed to the person who logged it, creating a clear record of when the item was identified. Photographs attach directly to the record rather than sitting in a separate photo library.
The project dashboard gives you a live list of all open snag items, filterable by trade, location, severity, or status. As defects are remediated and re-inspected, their status is updated in the same record, so the full history of each item is preserved.
At practical completion, you can export the snagging register as a PDF or spreadsheet for inclusion in the project handover pack. Because everything is structured data, the export is produced in seconds rather than assembled manually from site photographs and handwritten lists.
