Barcode and QR code scanning means the operative can scan a device label to populate the serial number field automatically, reducing transcription errors.

Each inventory record can include photographs of the equipment, the nameplate, and the surrounding area. Photo fields can be made mandatory so that every item in the inventory has visual evidence attached to it. GPS tagging places each record within the building footprint if location data is available.

Inventory forms work fully offline, which is important in clinical areas with restricted Wi-Fi access or in plant rooms with no signal. The surveyor completes all records locally and they sync to the cloud when connectivity is restored.
