Every question in the construction submittal template

Record proposed materials or documents, their specification references and revisions, and the reviewer’s response. 4 sections and 29 questions. Follow-up questions and guidance appear only when an answer calls for them, so the person on site never sees the ones that do not apply.

Make it your own: every question is editable

This is a starting point, not a fixed form. Once it is in your SiteSurvey account you can reword any question, add or remove questions, sections and answer options, and add your own logo, so it fits the way your team works and the jobs you do.

Details you only enter once

Add this form to a project in SiteSurvey and it fills in what the project already knows, so nobody on site retypes it and every form on the job uses the same names. Anything filled in can still be changed.

Construction submittal FAQs

What should a construction submittal include?

Identify the project, work package, specification reference, proposed items, evidence revisions, reviewer and required response date. Retain comments and any resubmission reference.

How does a submittal differ from an RFI?

A submittal presents a proposed product or document for review. An RFI asks for clarification of missing or conflicting information.

Can I track a revised submission?

Yes. Record the previous submission reference and the next revision, then retain a separate record of each issue and response.

Does completing the form approve the material?

No. Record the named reviewer’s actual response and follow the project’s approval process before procurement or installation.
