Store surveys, fit-outs & rollouts

Every store surveyed
the same way, every time.

New store fit-out surveys, refit snagging, brand-standard audits and multi-site rollout programmes — captured on the phone in the shop, front and back of house, and filed against the right store, space and product before the surveyor leaves the unit.

Consistency at scale

A rollout is only as strong as its least visible detail.

A missing ceiling height, an unrecorded shopfront defect or a snag captured in a WhatsApp thread turns into a return visit, a variation or a disputed dilapidations claim months later.

01

Every store surveyed differently

One surveyor sends a PDF, another a phone album, a third a spreadsheet — so no two store packs in the same rollout can be compared.

02

Snags that lose their location

A photo of a damaged shopfront reveal arrives with no store, no space and no fixture reference, so nobody can price or programme the remedial work.

03

Handover built the night before

Fit-out evidence, EPOS and AV commissioning records and brand-standard checks are assembled by hand before a store can open or a claim can be settled.

One continuous record

From first survey to trading store.

One connected store record across dilapidations survey, fit-out, snagging, equipment commissioning and final acceptance.

01

Survey the unit

Walk front of house, stockroom, staff areas and plant with the AR floor plan — capture ceiling heights, shopfront condition, service positions and existing defects as you go.

02

Map the store layout

Place the till bank, fitting rooms, window display, back-of-house racking and riser on the plan so every later check has an address.

03

Record the fit-out

Log snags, brand-standard and merchandising checks, and EPOS, AV and refrigeration installs — scan the equipment label to capture models and serials, and hold to record a Walk Cam clip where a defect is quicker shown than typed.

04

Sign the store off

Produce the same close-out pack for every location — snag list, commissioning records, photographic evidence and client sign-off.

Repeatable rollout delivery

One operating model across every location.

Surveyors and shopfitters follow the same mobile workflow whether they are in a high street unit with no signal or a retail park stockroom, while programme managers watch store-by-store progress across the whole rollout.

Surveys

One store survey template

Run the same fit-out survey, snagging sheet, brand-standard audit and store health-and-safety check in every location.

Plans

Space-led store records

Front of house, window display, fitting rooms, till bank, stockroom, staff room and plant — each with its own forms, products and evidence.

Walk Cam

Walk Cam video snagging

Hold to record a clip at a shopfront reveal or a failing chiller — live on-device voice-to-text writes the observation as you speak, fully offline.

Products

EPOS, AV and equipment records

Scan the equipment label to capture model and serial, then add network details, mounts, test results and warranty data against the fixture.

Programme

Multi-site coordination

See bookings, ownership and store-by-store progress across shopfitters, installers and delivery partners.

Handover

AI-assisted close-out

Turn the captured store record into a branded snagging, commissioning or dilapidations report without rebuilding it by hand.

Every update has a place

Make every store layout part of the project.

Capture the unit with the AR floor plan, then pin the window display, till run, fitting rooms, stockroom racking and plant to the plan — each area carrying its own survey answers, products, snags and sign-off.

Retail FAQ

The practical questions.

01What is retail store survey software?+

Retail store survey software is a mobile and web tool that field teams use to record the condition, dimensions, fixtures and equipment of a retail unit in a consistent, reusable format. Instead of a tape measure, a camera roll and a spreadsheet, a surveyor works through a standard digital form on a phone or tablet, capturing measurements, photographs, defects and equipment details against named store areas — front of house, window display, fitting rooms, stockroom, staff areas and plant. The result is one structured record per store that can be compared across a whole estate, reused for the next refit, and turned directly into a survey, snagging or handover report. It is used for new store fit-out surveys, refit and refurbishment programmes, brand-standard and merchandising audits, condition and dilapidations evidence, and equipment installation records.

02Can the same survey be reused across every store in a rollout?+

Yes. A store survey, snagging sheet or brand-standard audit is built once as a template and issued to every location in the programme, so each unit is captured against the same questions and the same structure. That is what makes 40 stores comparable rather than 40 separate documents.

03Can each area of a store have different checks?+

Yes. Each space carries its own forms, products and data points, so the window display can be audited against visual merchandising standards while the stockroom is checked for racking condition and the plant area for refrigeration and HVAC detail.

04Can snags be captured and tracked through a fit-out?+

Yes. A snag is raised on the phone against the store and the specific space, with photographs, annotations and a Walk Cam video clip where that explains it faster than text, and it stays attached to that location until it is closed out. Nothing is lost in a message thread between the site visit and the sign-off meeting.

05Can EPOS, AV and refrigeration installation details be captured on site?+

Yes. Each installed item is recorded as a product against its store area, holding model, serial, network configuration, mounting detail, test results and photographs. Serials and asset labels can be scanned rather than typed, which removes the transcription errors that make an equipment register unusable later.

06Can store surveys be completed without a mobile signal?+

Yes. Capture works fully offline, which matters in basements, stockrooms, plant rooms and units still under construction with no fitted services. Forms, photographs, floor plans and Walk Cam recordings are held on the device and sync to the workspace when the surveyor gets signal again.

07Can programme managers see progress across every location?+

Yes. Each store runs as its own project inside a shared workspace, so a programme manager can see which units are surveyed, which are in fit-out, which snags are open and which stores are signed off — without chasing individual surveyors for updates.

08Can the captured record be used for handover and dilapidations evidence?+

Yes. Because forms, photographs, video, floor plans and product records stay connected to the store and the space throughout, the close-out pack is generated from evidence that was timestamped when it was captured — which is exactly what a landlord, franchisee or incoming tenant will want to see when a condition is disputed.
