Health & safety audits and inspections

Health and safety software
that captures the evidence, not just the tick.

Run safety inspections and audits on the phone — fire doors, PAT, plant and workplace rounds — with photo, measurement and video evidence attached to the exact place it was found. The finished record is the audit report.

A finding is only as good as its evidence

Checklists record the answer. They rarely record the proof.

Most inspection tools capture a pass or a fail. When the finding is challenged weeks later — by a client, an insurer or a certification auditor — what matters is the objective evidence behind it, and where exactly it was found.

01

Findings without proof

A failed check with no photograph, measurement or location is an opinion, not evidence.

02

Retyped in the evening

Notes scribbled on site get rewritten into a report hours later, losing the detail that mattered.

03

Actions that drift

The corrective action ends up in an email thread, disconnected from the inspection that raised it.

One continuous record

From the walk round to a defensible audit record.

Follow the same route an auditor would: gather objective evidence, classify the finding, agree it on site, then track the action to close.

01

Open the inspection

Load the fire door, PAT, plant or workplace round for the building and floor you are standing in.

02

Capture the evidence

Photograph the defect, measure it on the image, or record a Walk Cam clip while live voice-to-text writes the observation.

03

Raise the finding

Conditional questions open only when a check fails, asking for the defect photo, the remedial action and a priority.

04

Close the action

The finding, its evidence and its corrective action stay on one record through to sign-off and the exported report.

Objective evidence

Built for the way audits are actually judged.

ISO 19011 asks that findings rest on objective evidence, that they are discussed with the auditee before the audit closes, and that corrective actions are verified. A timestamped clip with the inspector's spoken observation, pinned to a space on the floor plan, is exactly that — and the shareable link means the auditee can see it before anyone leaves site.

Forms

Any inspection, built in minutes

Describe the round in plain English and the AI assistant builds it — fire doors, PAT, emergency lighting, workplace or plant.

Walk Cam

Video evidence with live transcription

Hold to record at each inspection point. Live on-device voice-to-text writes the observation as it is spoken, fully offline.

Logic

Findings that ask the right questions

Conditional rules reveal defect photo, remedial action and priority fields only when a check actually fails.

Location

Pinned to the exact place

Every finding sits against a building, floor and space on the plan, so nobody argues about which door or which room.

Offline

Plant rooms, risers and basements

Capture everything without a signal and sync the record when coverage returns.

Reports

The record is the report

Findings, evidence and sign-off export as a client-ready PDF or a shareable link, with nothing retyped.

Every update has a place

Every finding, on the plan it belongs to.

Map buildings, floors and spaces, then see which have been inspected, which raised findings and which still have actions open.

Health & safety FAQ

The practical questions.

01What is health and safety inspection software?+

Health and safety inspection software replaces paper checklists with a mobile app that records both the answer and the evidence behind it. A typical system lets you build inspection forms, complete them on site — usually offline — attach photographs and notes to individual questions, raise findings when a check fails, assign corrective actions, and export a report for the client, insurer or auditor. The better systems tie every finding to a specific location so the record still makes sense months later.

02Can safety inspections be completed without a signal?+

Yes. Inspections run entirely on the device, so plant rooms, risers, basements and remote sites are no obstacle. Photos, measurements, video and answers are held securely on the phone and sync to the project when connectivity returns.

03How is video used as inspection evidence?+

Walk Cam records a short clip at each inspection point while live voice-to-text writes the inspector's spoken observation on screen. The clip, its transcript and the still frames are saved against the question and the space they belong to, so the evidence shows the condition rather than describing it. Clips work offline and appear in the exported report.

04Can it handle fire door, PAT and emergency lighting rounds?+

Yes. Each regime is a reusable form with its own questions, required evidence and conditional follow-ups, assigned to the doors, appliances or fittings you are inspecting. One project can run several regimes across the same building, each keeping its own record.

05Does it support ISO 45001 or ISO 19011 style audits?+

It supports the evidence and findings side of them. Inspections capture objective evidence, conditional logic raises a finding when a check fails, and the corrective action stays attached to the record through to close — which is what ISO 19011 asks of an audit trail. SiteSurvey supplies the evidence; the judgement on conformity and the certification itself stay with your auditor and certification body.

06Can findings be agreed with the site before the audit closes?+

Yes. Any completed record can be shared as a link, so the responsible person sees the findings and their evidence while the team is still on site, rather than receiving a report days later.

07Can corrective actions be tracked to completion?+

Yes. A failed check can capture the defect photograph, the remedial action and a priority, all held against the same record. Progress and sign-off stay connected to the inspection that raised the finding.

08Can existing paper checklists be reproduced?+

Yes. Describe the checklist to the AI assistant or build it visually — multi-page forms, choice and rating questions, measurements, required photographs, signatures and embedded Walk Cam inspections are all supported, so your existing regime transfers rather than being redesigned.
